Can I Still Copy and Paste from Word Documents After Canceling Microsoft 365?

I'm thinking about canceling my Microsoft 365 Single subscription, and I need to know if I can still copy and paste content from my Word documents afterward. Most of my files contain important information, so will I be able to interact with these documents outside of Microsoft Word, like copying text into Notepad or other programs, or will I lose access completely?

A great option is to use LibreOffice. It's free, and you can easily open and copy text from .doc or .docx files without needing Microsoft 365. Just ensure your documents aren't saved in OneDrive beforehand.

Absolutely, just remember that some complex formatting might not transfer perfectly if you open your Word docs in other software. For basic copying and pasting, you should be good to go!

After you cancel, you can't save changes to your Word documents, but copying text will still work. You can also print to PDF to keep the formatting, then copy from there if needed.

Yes, you can still open your Word documents after canceling your subscription! You'll be able to read and copy text from them, but editing will be restricted. Just make sure your files are saved on your computer, not just in OneDrive, since that would go away when you cancel.

Thanks for clarifying! I'll back up my files first.
