How Can I Transition from DevOps to a Cloud Administrator Role?

I'm a 25-year-old with a solid background in computer science and a master's in networks from a top university in my country. I've been working as a DevOps engineer for two years and recently completed the AZ-104 certification without any issues. Now, I want to shift my career toward cloud administration and I'm about to start on the AZ-305. While I enjoy low-level networking, I lack professional experience in that area.

I've heard that knowing Terraform and Bicep is crucial for this transition, but I'm looking for more guidance. If anyone has experience in cloud administration, I would appreciate your advice on what steps I should take to land my first job in this field. Thanks in advance!

It really depends on the kind of company environment you’re aiming for. There's a growing trend in platform engineering that focuses on improving developer experiences rather than just end-user applications. So if you’re considering larger companies, that’s a good direction.

Thanks for your input! Would you suggest that I specifically target larger companies then?
