I'm 17 and from India. I'm interested in learning Python, but I've heard mixed opinions about its value for actual jobs. I'm not quite sure what career path I want to take yet. I know a bit of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as some Python. I'm looking for guidance on which programming language to focus on and what career options might be available with those skills.

Forget what others say—Python is amazing for beginners and is in demand! As a backend engineer myself, I can tell you it’s great for job opportunities. If you aim for game development, start with Python using Pygame for simpler projects, but C++ or C# is where you’d want to go for more advanced games.

Python is definitely a solid choice! While it might not be the only language to learn, it’s great for back-end development, data science, and automation. Since you already know some HTML, CSS, and JS, you could also consider combining those with Python for web projects. Start with small Python projects to find what you enjoy most, and your career direction will likely become clearer as you gain more experience.

That's helpful! I'm also interested in Game Development now. What programming languages should I consider if I want to pursue that?

Honestly, just stick with Python for now. It's versatile, and you could create web apps with it as well. Later on, consider branching out to Rust if you’re looking for something a bit different. It’s gaining traction, but for starters, Python is more than enough to get you going.

What kind of career paths can I prepare for with Python and these other languages?

Don’t let random comments sway you too much. Check out research like the StackOverflow developer survey for reliable insights on what skills employers are searching for. This will give you a much clearer picture on career paths and the languages in demand.

If web development's your interest, go for JavaScript and possibly TypeScript. These will give you crucial experience and open many doors! Also, check out other options like React for front-end work.
