Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a new laptop with a larger screen and I'm sketching out some specs before I make my purchase on Black Friday. I'm trying to decide between two CPU series: the Intel Core Ultra 7 2 Series and the AMD Ryzen 7 AI 300 Series, and I'd love your input based on my specific needs.

Here's what I'm looking for:
- Laptop size: Between 17.3 inches and 18.4 inches
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 2 Series or AMD Ryzen 7 AI 300 Series
- RAM: 16GB
- OS: Windows
- Budget: €1200
- Location: The Netherlands

I use my current laptop primarily for programming, working with documents and diagrams, browsing the web with Firefox, playing Clash of Clans, and watching videos/series/anime. I also chat with family and friends online.

Back in August 2021, AMD was the clear winner for my tasks, but I'm curious if things have changed in the last four years. So, which CPU series do you think is the better choice for my use case? I really appreciate any insights you might have. Thanks a lot for your help!

I’d definitely go with the AMD Ryzen 7 for your needs. It’s well-balanced for programming and handles multitasking like a champ, plus it’s great for gaming and media consumption. For the kind of tasks you’re doing, it’ll provide better performance. Best of luck with the shopping!

Thanks for the insight! I wasn't sure about AMD for my specific use cases, but this makes me lean more towards it.
