Why Is My i9-10900K Overheating with a 280mm AIO Cooler?

I'm having some serious overheating issues with my i9-10900K and it's cooled by an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm AIO. While gaming, the temperatures shoot up to between 90 and 100 degrees Celsius, but when I'm just idling, they range from 60 to 70 degrees. My setup includes a Z-490 A Pro motherboard, an RTX 3070 GPU, and a 1000 watt power supply. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried adjusting the wattage settings? At stock settings, that CPU can draw over 250W, which could be why you're seeing those high temps. It might help to take a look at that.

Will look into this, thank you!

Unnecessary. I've used a 10900K with a 240mm AIO and didn't have this issue. You might want to check the mounting screws for the AIO or see if something's defective. Also, make sure the pump is running correctly.
