Best PC Case for Cat Owners: What to Consider?

Hey everyone! I'm building my first gaming PC and my friend is helping me finalize the parts. I'm not too concerned with aesthetics, but I have two cats that are free to roam around my desk. Given that they'll be around the case, I want to find something that can handle cat hair and also provide good airflow while keeping noise levels low. Here are my components:

- Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming B850 (likely BTF)
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- Graphics Card: Asus TUF 9070XT
- RAM: 2x32G G.Skill Trident Z5 F5-6000J2836G32GX2-TR5S
- Power Supply: Seasonic Focus GX ATX 3 (2024) GX-1000 1000W ATX 3.1 FOCUS-GX-1000-V4

I've been recommended the Be Quiet! Light Base 600 LX White BGW68 and the Be Quiet! Light Loop 360mm BW023. My questions are:

1. Is that case suitable considering my two cats? Any better recommendations or accessories to help with cat hair?
2. I'm open to suggestions on my components if you think I could improve anything, but it's not the main focus here.

Thanks in advance!

Just a tip: steer clear of cases with power/reset buttons on top. Cats can accidentally hit those with their paws, leading to frustrating shutdowns mid-game!

Seems like you have an awesome setup! Just a note, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is super powerful. If you’re mostly gaming and not doing heavy CPU tasks, you might not need as much power. Also, 32GB of RAM is usually plenty for gaming! Those prices can really add up. Just something to think about!

Good points! I’m looking for longevity, and I feel like having the extra RAM could be useful down the road. I just want to make sure I won’t regret not going for 64GB later on.

Yeah, future-proofing is always a solid strategy! If you can afford it and believe you'll benefit from the extra RAM in the future, then go for it!

The Be Quiet! case you mentioned seems like a solid choice, especially since it's designed for better airflow and noise reduction. Plus, being enclosed can help with cat hair since it won’t get sucked in as easily. Just make sure to keep it clean! You might also want to look into some dust filters for extra protection against fur.

Definitely check if the case supports your BTF motherboard; not all cases do. Having a power button on the front instead of the top can be beneficial if your cats like to jump around. It’ll prevent accidental shutdowns when they get curious!
