Will My Ryzen 5 5600X and 650W PSU Support an RTX 5070 for 1080p Gaming?

I'm planning to buy an RTX 5070 soon and I'm curious if my current setup with a Ryzen 5 5600X and a 650 watt PSU can handle it. My motherboard supports PCIe 4.0, and I read the 5070 uses PCIe 5.0—will that be an issue? I mainly play competitive games at 1080p and don't intend to upgrade to a 2K monitor due to budget constraints. I'd appreciate any advice on whether I'll be fine gaming with this setup!

I’ve got an ASUS TUF 5080 paired with a 10th gen CPU on PCIe 3.0, and I can comfortably run at 3440x1440. I usually get about 100-200 FPS on AAA games capped at 150 FPS. So, I think you're going to be just fine at 1080p!

Just a heads up, if you're looking for graphics cards, please skip AMD; they're quite pricey in my region right now. Better stick with what you planned!

The Ryzen 5 5600X is still a solid choice for gaming, and it should work well with the RTX 5070, especially for 1080p gaming. You might notice a slight CPU bottleneck if you're pushing super high FPS (like on a 240Hz monitor), but for most scenarios, it'll perform great! Your 650W PSU should be adequate if it's a quality unit (like 80 Plus Gold). Just double-check the model and make sure the 12V rail can handle it. If you're thinking about overclocking or future upgrades, considering a 750W PSU could give you more breathing room, but for now, your setup looks good!

Your PSU is a COUGAR CGR-GS-650 GX-S 650W with 80 PLUS GOLD, which is a reputable brand. You're in good shape with that supply!
