Hey everyone! I'm currently considering a purchase, and there's about a $110 CAD (around $80 USD) price difference between the 16GB 5060 Ti and the 7800 XT. I've noticed some mixed opinions about the 5060 Ti, but I'm unsure if people are talking about the 8GB or the 16GB variant when they criticize it. I'd like to know if it's worth spending more on the 7800 XT, which is a 2-year-old card. By the way, I'm still running fine on my 3060 Ti at 1080p, except for some lag with MH Wilds, so while I'm looking to upgrade, I'm not in a hurry. I've also checked the 9070 XT, but their prices are way too high right now.

At that price difference, the 16GB 5060 Ti might actually be the better deal, but let's confirm the prices first!
Before diving in, could you share the prices of both graphics cards? If the 5060 Ti is around $710 and the 7800 XT is $820, I'd recommend skipping both!
It's around $460 USD for the 5060 Ti and $540 USD for the 7800 XT.
Just a quick note: don't take everything from YouTube and social media as gospel. Personally, I find FSR3 terrible and blurry. If you're after a good upscaler around the same price, I'd go with the 5060 Ti instead.
Are you sure it's the GPU that's holding you back in MH Wilds? You might be CPU-bound instead.
I was using a 5600, but upgraded to a 5700X and now my CPU usage peaks at 70% per core, even with the high-res pack. Still getting only about 20 fps though. Without the pack, my fps varies between 30 and 70 on high settings.
It's about $460 USD for the 5060 Ti and $540 USD for the 7800 XT.
