What are my data recovery options for a Lenovo Yoga 2?

I've got an old Lenovo Yoga 2 that suddenly stopped working. It powers on but immediately goes to a screen asking me to choose a keyboard layout, and then I get stuck with some troubleshooting options that aren't helping. Unfortunately, I can't access my profile, and I really need to recover some important files that were saved on the desktop. I've heard about hard drive enclosures, but I'm not sure if there are better ways to do this. What options do I have for recovering my data?

One option is to create a bootable USB with Hiren's Boot CD on another computer. Then, insert the USB into your Yoga 2, boot it up, and enter the BIOS to set the USB as the first boot device. This way, you can access your laptop's files without needing to install anything. It's based on Windows 11, so you can use the normal file explorer to copy your important data off the drive.

Just to clarify, I was using Windows 10 on my Yoga 2. Would this still work?
