I've got a bit of a mystery with my SSD. It seems to work fine for about a month, but then I start getting blue screens. When I format it, everything goes back to normal, but then the issues creep back up after a month. I'm not looking for a fix, just curious about what might be causing this pattern. Any ideas?

It sounds like your SSD could be experiencing some kind of wear on the NAND cells. When the cells start to fail, they struggle to hold onto data, which might explain those blue screens you're seeing. Formatting it gives it a fresh start, but eventually, the problem returns as the drives have trouble retaining data over time.
Blue screens can derive from many issues, not just the SSD. Have you checked for any dump files after a crash? They can really help when pinpointing what's going wrong. If you can boot into Windows, check the C:WindowsMinidump directory for those files and consider following a guide to set up your system to collect more detailed crash logs.
Data corruption can be a culprit too. SSDs can sometimes run okay even when they have issues with retaining data, until things become too problematic and Windows can’t handle it anymore. If you’re set on keeping an SSD, you might want to invest in a higher quality model next time. The one you have doesn’t seem too reliable!
I appreciate the advice! Yeah, I figured it wasn’t a premium drive. Thanks for the insight!
