Hey everyone, I have this really basic cell phone from the late 90s or early 2000s—no apps, no Wi-Fi, and definitely no fancy features like WhatsApp or headphones. Lately, I've been feeling like someone might be listening in on my calls, as if they can hear both sides of the conversation. Is this even possible with such an old model? I just want to know if I should be concerned.

If it's a landline, then yes, eavesdropping could be a possibility. But since you mentioned it's a cellular phone, the chances are probably low, especially with an old model that isn’t packed with features. Those older phones are generally harder to hack into compared to modern smartphones.
Honestly, unless someone has special equipment, it’s pretty unlikely they can listen in on your calls. Old cellular technology isn’t as easy to tap into, especially compared to cordless phones, which can be vulnerable. If it’s really bothering you, maybe ask her to switch phones just to be safe!
That's good to know! I was a bit worried. It's actually my grandmother's phone, and when she talks to my mom, they both feel like there’s someone else joining in on the conversation. But I figured with such basic tech, it might just be their imagination.
