I recently lost internet access on my computer and I'm starting to worry that my motherboard might be the problem. I've gone ahead and tried updating the LAN adapters, and I even plugged the cable into another computer, but nothing seems to work. I'm running out of options and I could really use some advice on what to do next.

First off, you should open the command prompt and try pinging 127.0.0.1. If you see any packet loss there, it's likely an issue with your network interface card (NIC). But if there’s no packet loss, you can try uninstalling the device from the Device Manager and reboot your computer; it’ll rebuild the NIC fresh on restart.
But just to clarify, if you're not using a separate NIC and the Ethernet is directly from the motherboard, you might just need to uninstall the related devices. Make sure you're looking at the right ones in Device Manager. If I misunderstood, let me know!
