I'm curious about the compatibility of the Sapphire RX 7800 XT Nitro+ GPU with Linux kernels. I've heard that version 6.3 is the oldest kernel that supports it, but I'm not entirely sure if that's accurate. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Yes, you're right! The Sapphire RX 7800 XT Nitro+ is supported starting from Linux kernel version 6.3. However, keep in mind that you'll also need Mesa version 23.1 or later for optimal performance with AMD GPUs. Just a heads-up, using such an old kernel might not be the best idea as there are many optimizations and improvements in more recent kernels, especially for RDNA 3 series GPUs.

Thanks for the info! By the way, do you know if Debian 13 comes with that Mesa version or something newer?
