Why Is My Powerful PC So Slow at Loading Games?

I have a pretty powerful PC, but I'm experiencing slow loading times, and I'm unsure why. For instance, when playing Minecraft with 400+ mods and maxed-out shaders, my frames stay consistent between 100-144 FPS, so performance during gameplay is great. However, loading into the game and the world takes a long time, often causing the program to stop responding before it eventually works. This issue isn't limited to Minecraft; I'm noticing slow load times across different applications as well. My specs are as follows: **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core Processor, **GPU:** RTX 5070 TI, **OS:** Windows 11 Pro, **Storage:** WD_BLACK SN850X 4000GB, **RAM:** 4x 32GB Corsair, **Motherboard:** PRIME X670E-PRO WIFI, **Monitor:** LG ULTRAFINE 3840x2160 at 144Hz, and **Power Supply:** 1000W. What can I do to improve the loading times?

First off, check if you're loading the game on your NVMe drive. That speeds things up a ton! Also, the memory speed can make a difference. With four sticks of DDR5 RAM, if you didn't manually set the voltages and timings, it could be running inefficiently. Aim for around 5600MT/s for the best performance. It's also worth seeing if your motherboard BIOS or SSD firmware is up to date—sometimes that can help too!

Keep in mind, loading times can often relate to where you're storing your game files. If your SSD speed checks out, it might be more about how Windows handles loading your mods. Have you checked your settings? Sometimes background processes can bog down performance too.

You might want to test your disk speed using CrystalDiskMark to ensure it matches what's advertised. If everything seems fine, it could just be general performance issues with Windows or the game. Also, keep an eye on any server issues that might affect loading times.
