I recently installed a new M.2 SSD in my Dell XPS 8900, and now I'm wondering what steps to take when I power on the computer. Any guidance on initializing the drive or troubleshooting would be appreciated!

After you power on your PC, you typically need to go into Disk Management to get your new SSD set up. Right-click on the new drive and choose to initialize it, then create a new simple volume by following the prompts. Once that's done, you should see the SSD in File Explorer and be able to use it without any issues.

What if I can't even get into Windows after installing the SSD?
