I'm trying to build a PC and had a budget of around €1500, but I've ended up closer to €1600. I'm looking for suggestions to improve my parts list. I also haven't chosen a case or a monitor yet, so any recommendations on those would be helpful. Here's what I have so far:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
- Motherboard: Asus TUF B850-Plus Wifi
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 16GB
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5200 MHz (2x16GB)
- SSD: Crucial P310 Gen 4
- PSU: Corsair RMx ATX 3.1 850W
- Cooler: Corsair iCue Link Titan 240 RX
I'm pretty new to PC building, so any advice would be appreciated!

I'd recommend sticking with your Ryzen 5 unless you need extra cores for gaming. As for RAM, CAS latency can matter, so try to find a set with lower timings if possible—could give you a tiny boost in performance. For cases, check out the Fractal Design Meshify C; it's well-ventilated and looks great. And for a monitor, don’t forget to consider G-Sync or FreeSync compatibility!
Your list is looking solid, especially for a starter build! If you're willing to tweak a few things, consider going for a Ryzen 7 for better multitasking and future-proofing. Also, check if the motherboard supports PCIe 4.0 for the SSD, as that can enhance performance. For the case, look for something with good airflow and enough space for your components, like the NZXT H510. And for a monitor, one with at least 144Hz refresh rate would really enhance your gaming experience.
