Hi everyone, I'm a new user of AWS and I've just been hit with a shocking bill forecast of $1,152.38, primarily from Amazon SageMaker in the Frankfurt region. The charge breaks down to over 580 hours of running a Canvas Workspace Instance, which cost me $1,109 at $1.9 per hour. This was an honest mistake; I only tested SageMaker Canvas for about 30 minutes. I closed the tab, thinking I was done, but it continued running in the background without me knowing. I only found the charge after searching through the user profiles in SageMaker Domain, as it wasn't visible in the EC2 or Notebook console. Once I realized what happened, I terminated the SageMaker Canvas app and stopped or deleted all other resources that were incurring costs. As a freelance developer, this bill is unaffordable for me. I've contacted AWS Billing Support for assistance, looking for a goodwill waiver due to this newbie mistake. My Case ID is 176205182700585. Has anyone else experienced this with SageMaker Canvas? Do you think AWS Support will consider waiving this charge since it's my first time making a mistake like this?
