Hey everyone! I'm 17, and a couple of years ago, my parents created an Apple ID for me and set my age to just 6 years old so they could impose child restrictions and add me to their family group. Now that I'm almost 18, I'm stuck with this Apple ID, and I don't know the password. My parents won't change it or let me make my own since they want to maintain control over my device. With my birthday approaching, I need to use my phone for work, but I found out that children under 13 can't add credit cards to their Apple Wallet. Is there a way to change my birthday on this account or completely log out of the Apple ID? I know the screen time passcode and have changed the trusted phone number to mine, but I'm not sure what else I can do.

I usually wouldn’t recommend going against your parents, but it seems like you've got a valid concern! If 'Find My' isn't enabled on your device, you might be able to wipe the phone using a PC or Mac and set it up as new with your own account, free of parental restrictions.
You have a few options here:
1. Try talking to your parents. Unfortunately, you can't change your birthday until the account is over 13 years old without the Organizer's permission.
2. Consider creating a new Apple ID, but make sure your current account doesn't have restrictions that would prevent you from signing out.
3. If all else fails, buying a different phone might be a solution.
Haha, right? It's like open rebellion against parental controls. Good luck!
