I recently used OpenOffice on my Mac to write an essay, then I formatted it into a PDF and submitted it. I wasn't aware of any issues with OpenOffice at the time. Should I be concerned about this now?

You're good! If you saved your work as a PDF and checked it thoroughly, there’s really no need to stress. Problems typically arise when switching between OpenOffice/LibreOffice and Microsoft Office formats, but since you went with PDF, you should be all set!
No worries! As long as the PDF looks how you intended, everything should be fine. For future projects, consider switching to LibreOffice for better features or OnlyOffice for better compatibility with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files. They’re much more current than OpenOffice.
