Help! My Phone Swap Went Wrong and Now I’m Locked Out

I'm in a bit of a bind here. My dad is giving me his iPhone 13 Pro Max, but I needed to trade him my iPhone 12 first. I backed up all my stuff to my iCloud, then restarted my iPhone 12 and logged into my dad's account. When I tried to log into my Apple account on the 13 Pro Max, it got locked by a passcode, and I can't seem to unlock it. I've already tried every passcode I can think of from my own devices, and even ones from my family members, but nothing works. When I restarted and tried to log back in on the iCloud, it just asked me for a passcode without prompting me first. I accidentally removed the phone from my account, thinking it would restart normally. I only have a couple of days before heading back to college, and I don't want to risk adding another passcode since I'm facing an hour lockout each time. Any advice would be super appreciated!

It sounds like you've got a tricky situation. If you have access to a computer, you might want to try restoring both phones via Finder (on Mac) or iTunes (on Windows). This can reset things and give you a fresh start for both devices. Just follow the setup process again afterward. I tried connecting my phone to my Mac, but it didn't detect either device just with the cable. I found a tutorial on how to get it into recovery mode, but even after following those steps, it still ends up locking me out for an hour when I start it up. There’s no option to 'Forget Password' either.
