Should I Replace My CPU or Motherboard First?

Hey everyone, I recently powered on my PC and it went through the boot process, but the debug lights got stuck on red and yellow. After trying various troubleshooting steps on my own without success, I took it to a repair shop. They couldn't get it working either and suggested that either my CPU or motherboard could be at fault. Since they didn't have spare CPUs to test, I'm stuck deciding whether I should buy a new CPU or gamble on a new motherboard instead. Any advice?

It sounds frustrating! If the repair shop didn't charge you, maybe consider taking it to another place that can do more thorough testing. What parts are you using in your build? Have you tried checking the connections or reseating components?

I wouldn't trust that repair shop too much unless they confirmed they ran all the tests. Changing out the CPU could be easier, but also, have you only tried using one RAM stick? Sometimes that's all it takes to fix boot issues.
