I'm considering making the switch to Linux and I've come across various posts that warn about potential issues with Discord on this platform. I'm curious about what specific problems might arise, and if there are any solutions or workarounds that can help me have a better experience. I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences with Discord on Linux, particularly any challenges you've faced and how you've addressed them.

If you're not already, I suggest using the Discord Flatpak version. The regular repo versions can lag behind on updates, but the Flatpak has been working like a charm for me.

I had some audio problems while screen sharing until recently, but it seems most bugs have been ironed out now. Just so you know, window sharing can still be a bit wonky, but overall I've been satisfied with how well it works on my system.

I've had similar experiences! The Flatpak on CachyOS worked seamlessly for screen sharing, though I did notice some audio quirks when sharing specific apps.

You could just use Discord in your web browser! That's a hassle-free way to get around any Linux-specific issues.

I've been using the Bazzite distro and Discord runs perfectly for me now. There were some streaming issues last year, but those have been resolved. Just a heads up, I have a Radeon RX 9070, so your mileage may vary if you're using Nvidia.
