I'm getting a new PC tomorrow and I'm trying to decide whether to connect it to my monitor using the HDMI or DisplayPort. I've seen older discussions suggesting DisplayPort, but I'm not sure if the recommendations have changed recently. Can anyone give me advice on which port is better and what factors I should consider when making my choice?

What kind of monitor did you purchase?
It also comes down to the age of your monitor and what version of HDMI it supports. If you're unsure, I’d lean towards using DisplayPort since it’s often recommended.
DisplayPort is usually the way to go, just remember to connect it to your graphics card rather than the motherboard! You’ll find the ports at the bottom of the case.
Thanks for the heads-up!
Honestly, it doesn't make much of a difference which one you choose. The best option really depends on the ports available on both your graphics card and your monitor/TV.
I just checked, and I have a Samsung G3 Odyssey.
Either port works fine, so you shouldn't stress about it too much!

I have the Samsung G3 Odyssey, but I'm not sure what HDMI version it supports.
