I'm having a nightmare with my HP Pavilion laptop. This week alone, I've faced multiple issues where my wireless network disappears, and my USB ports stop working completely. Here's what's going on: I get a message about the name resolution timing out, and the WLAN AutoConfig detects limited connectivity. Plus, every time I restart, my laptop hangs, and I have to force a restart. This consistently happens when I open my laptop after traveling with the WiFi on. I've tried everything from restarting services, updating drivers, to resetting the network, but nothing seems to work. I just want to understand why my Realtek RTL8821CE adapter is doing this and how I can fix it without constantly having to restart my computer.

This sounds very frustrating! Sometimes these issues stem from bugs in the system. If your OS is sending out requests that aren't being addressed, those could cause the hanging you’re experiencing. Have you tried contacting support for a more in-depth analysis?
It might be worth checking your USB power saving options. Disabling power saving in device manager for your USB devices can sometimes resolve these connection problems. Also, some users have found that mixed usage of USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports creates issues, so if you're using both, try limiting them to one type to see if it helps.
Have you checked to see if there's an updated driver available for your WiFi adapter? Sometimes the latest updates can fix these connectivity issues.
Actually, I just realized I forgot to mention that my drivers are already up to date.
I don’t think that applies here since I’m using a built-in WiFi adapter and have only two USB ports, but thanks for the suggestion!
