Is My PC Build Good Enough for 1440p Gaming?

I'm putting together a new PC build primarily for gaming, especially story-driven RPGs, and I want it to run smoothly at 1440p with stable 60+ FPS. I'm not a tech expert, but I have built a computer before that I share with my partner. My main concern with my current build is whether the Ryzen 5 7600x CPU I've chosen is a good match for the RX 9070 GPU. Most setups I see use a Ryzen 7 with that GPU, but I'd like to save some money since the Ryzen 5 is about £100 cheaper. I also have a question about the RAM: I selected a 2x16GB DDR5-6000 CL40, but I noticed there's a more expensive CL30 option. Is it worth the extra? Also, I've prioritized aesthetics in my choices, which has led to some pricier options. Do you think this build is appropriate for 1440p, or should I downgrade my expectations to 1080p?

You're on the right path! While your current configuration isn't bad for 1440p, spending an extra £100 could upgrade you to the 9600x and the better RAM, which might offer a nice boost in performance and multitasking ability. Just keep in mind, aesthetics can sometimes come at a higher cost!

Are those upgrades a huge leap from what I have? I'm looking for an affordable mid-range option rather than top-of-the-line.

Your build looks decent for 1440p gaming! If you want crisper visuals, consider upgrading the GPU, but the RX 9070 should still perform well for the games you're interested in.

I'm leaning towards sticking with the RX 9070 since I'm not super concerned about having the latest tech. A 1080p monitor could be an option for me too, though.
