I'm thinking about picking up a RTX 4060 Ti with 16GB, but I'm wondering if it's actually a good choice for gaming at 1440p. I have a budget of around $500 for a graphics card, so if there are any alternatives that might be better, I'd love to hear about them. Thanks!

Using some upscaling and frame generation can help the 4060 Ti perform better. I actually bought one for $450 since all the other options were more expensive and required a new PSU. I'm planning to run it on a 1440p 100+Hz monitor soon and see how it goes!

Honestly, consider getting a 7800 XT instead. A lot of people are recommending it over the 4060 Ti for better performance.

I run at 5120 x 1440, and my RTX 4090 gives me 90-120 FPS on max settings. With a 4060 Ti, you'd likely see around 50-90 FPS at 1440p, depending on your exact setup and the games you play. Just keep in mind that graphics-heavy games might drop your frame rate significantly.

Yeah, I agree—definitely go for the RX 7800 XT. It's a better option overall for 1440p.

You might want to check out the 5060 Ti 16GB instead. It's generally cheaper and can offer around 20% more performance than the 4060 Ti.

Wait, are you saying it's cheaper than the 4060? How does that work?
