Why is my gaming laptop running so slowly?

I have an Omen gaming laptop with an Intel i7 processor and an RTX 3060 GPU. Lately, I've been struggling to run games like Fortnite, Overwatch, and Marvel Rivals without severe performance issues. Even with Overwatch set to the lowest settings, I'm getting significant frame drops and can't maintain more than 120 FPS. I've noticed frequent freezes that last a few milliseconds, which really messes up my gaming experience. I've already taken steps like using a cooling fan and closing background applications, but something doesn't feel right with my laptop. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

You might want to run some command line cleanup tools. A few commands like "/scannow" or "/mrt" can help. They scan your system for corrupt files and malware that could be slowing things down. Just copy and paste those commands into your command prompt and give them a go!

I’ll try that, thanks!

Can you share the model number of your laptop? That might help us diagnose if there are any specific issues with your setup.

Are you sure you’re running the games using your GPU? Sometimes it defaults back to the integrated graphics, which would definitely cause performance drops. Double check that in your settings!

Yes, I've checked and I'm definitely using the GPU.
