Help! License Errors with a $100K Software – What Should I Do?

I'm currently using Eclipse Schlumberger software, which is only two years old but keeps throwing up a license error with the message 'LICENSE FAILURE: ERROR NUMBER IS -1' whenever I try to run any datasets. The application launches fine, and the licensing server appears to be running without issues. I'm really unsure what the problem could be, and Customer Support hasn't been helpful. Any ideas on how to fix this? I'll share more log data in the comments if needed.

It sounds frustrating, but remember, not every software company has great support! Honestly, the best route is to escalate your issue with their support team. Level 1 support often doesn't know much, so ask them to elevate it to someone more knowledgeable. Don't hesitate to keep pushing until you get someone who can help you out!

First off, did you check your system's date and time settings? Those can sometimes mess with licensing. Also, try restarting the server or reinstalling the software. If all else fails, make sure they're aware that you're not getting adequate support and ask for a manager. You'll want to make sure they escalate your issue on their end!

I’m going to reinstall it along with the license and see if that resolves the issue.
