Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC setup. Currently, I have a Ryzen 9 5950X and 32GB of 3600MHz DDR4 RAM, paired with an RX 7900 XTX and a 1000W PSU. I've noticed that my CPU is bottlenecking performance in many games, so I'm considering moving to AM4 and switching to DDR5. Here are the parts I'm thinking about:
- AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
- ASUS ROG STRIX X670E
- SAMSUNG 990 PRO 2TB SSD
- Corsair DDR5 Dominator Titanium 2x32GB 6000MHz
Are these good choices, or should I consider something different?

I just built a new PC with those exact components (minus the SSD, as Samsung has a slightly new model that's almost no different). They're awesome! It's a solid setup for gaming and heavy tasks. If you want, I can share my whole build for reference!
Honestly, if you're doing heavy video editing along with gaming, then yes, a powerful CPU like the 9950X3D is a great choice. A high-end CPU makes a noticeable difference for those tasks. So I'd say go for it if your budget allows!
Exactly! That's why I'm leaning towards it.
If your main focus is gaming, maybe consider the Ryzen 7 7800X3D instead. Also, you don't really need to splurge on the premium RAM. The storage is good, but just be aware that the speed difference between PCIe 4.0 and 5.0 isn’t huge in real-world use.
You have the same combo? How's the performance been so far?
