Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my rig and have my eye on a 2-year-old Gigabyte Eagle 4070 that my friend is selling for about $500. Here's what I've got so far:
- Chassis: Masterbox Q300L - CoolerMaster
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- Motherboard: ASUS B550M Prime Wifi
- GPU: Currently using an ASUS Radeon 6600XT
- RAM: G Skill Trident Z NEO DDR4 3200mhz 8gb cl16 x2
- PSU: Seasonic M12ii-620W
I mainly game at 1080p with a Samsung Odyssey G4. I've been diving into games like Monster Hunter World, Marvel Rivals, and Black Myth Wukong, and I'm interested in trying POE2. Last year, I had some stuttering issues with POE1, so I want to make the most out of this upgrade. After buying the GPU, I have about $500 left for any other upgrades. What do you guys think I should focus on? Any recommendations for parts? Thanks a bunch!

For a used 4070, around $450 sounds about right, especially since it's 2 years old without warranty. I suggest upgrading to 32GB of RAM (2x16GB sticks); your CPU can handle the 4070 just fine, but anything higher would be overkill for it. Your setup looks solid overall!
Before you buy the 4070, what's the exact price? And what resolution are you playing at?
I'm getting it for around $500 and gaming at 1080p.
Thanks! Any recommendations for RAM? I assume I'd need DDR4 since my mobo only supports that.
