I'm considering upgrading my PC and would love to hear from you all about the potential FPS boost I can expect. My current setup includes an RTX 3060, a Ryzen 7 5700X, and I mainly game at 1080p. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing frustrating FPS drops in games like Fortnite (down to around 170-180 FPS) and even single-player games where I hover around 80-90 FPS. I'm planning to upgrade to an RTX 5070, a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and DDR5 RAM. How much of an FPS gain should I be looking at with this new setup? Is it realistic to expect up to 100% more FPS in most games? Plus, if anyone here has a similar configuration, I'd love to hear your FPS numbers in Fortnite and modern single-player titles! Thanks in advance!

I came across some benchmark videos, but I’m kind of skeptical about their accuracy. Has anyone else seen those tests and think they might be off?
I found a handy FPS calculator online that can help estimate your performance after the upgrade. Definitely check it out!
I really think those benchmark videos are a mixed bag. Some do genuinely reflect performance, but others can be misleading. Always good to look for multiple sources before making your decision!
For single-player games that are GPU-heavy, you can expect to see your frame rates double or maybe even 2.5 times your current performance. As for Fortnite, since it’s more CPU-intensive, the FPS might not feel like it’s doubled, but you’ll definitely notice much better stability—it’ll feel much smoother and more responsive. Honestly, this upgrade is quite powerful for 1080p gaming; the RTX 5070 is really aimed at 1440p resolutions. Consider investing in a 1440p 240Hz OLED monitor in the future to really take advantage of what you’re buying.

Didn't know there was a site for that, thanks for sharing!
