I recently bought a used laptop that came with a valid license key for Microsoft Office Pro+ 2021. However, I'm having trouble installing the OneDrive app to access my files directly through Windows Explorer. Currently, this setup is tied to my main email, which has a free version of OneDrive.
I'm hoping to use Desktop Apps with AutoSave on (this works for Word, but not for Excel). I also want to be able to utilize VBA, Power Pivots, and Power Query. I'm considering whether Microsoft 365 Basic would be a suitable option for me. As a student, I value my privacy and prefer not to have faculty access to my files. What are your thoughts? Thanks for any feedback!

If you're a student, check if your school offers Microsoft 365 for free. Many institutions do, which could save you money! Just be cautious about privacy concerns since they could access your files.
Microsoft 365 Basic doesn't include desktop apps; it's limited to web and mobile versions. You might want to consider the Microsoft 365 Personal subscription instead or purchase a one-time license for Office Home. It could actually be cheaper in the long run.

I have the Pro+ 2021 already, but I'm still unable to install OneDrive as an app. It’s frustrating!
