Help! My Internet Keeps Cutting Out and It’s Driving Me Crazy!

I'm really at my wit's end here. My computer connects through a TP-Link wireless device, which gets its internet from an Eir router. For the past five years, I've been dealing with frequent and random internet cutouts, which is beyond frustrating. I've already tried turning everything off and on, changing cables, restarting the router, and even updating the firmware. But nothing seems to work for more than a day. It's so bad that I might throw my router out the window! I'm desperate for any suggestions that might solve this issue.

Is it the wireless connection cutting out or the internet itself? It’s important to differentiate because the troubleshooting steps vary for each issue. Getting frustrated won't help much.

What exactly is your TP-Link device connected to? Your setup could range from a simple modem with built-in wireless to a complex system with multiple devices like a router and a wireless bridge. If your setup is complicated, try to isolate each component to see which one is causing the issue. If it's simple, consider reaching out to your ISP for help.

So it's a router to a wireless bridge, then that bridge goes to my PC. I think it might be a physical issue because it seems to be working for now after I unplugged the bridge halfway.

I had a similar problem with my internet service for a long time. Switching to fiber really made a difference for me – you might want to consider that as an option!

You might just need to call your internet provider and speak with tech support. They could help troubleshoot your issues further.

Is it just the internet that keeps cutting out, or is it your entire connection? If it's the internet specifically, you might want to focus on different parts of your network to identify the problem.
