I'm looking for a good alternative to iMessage that works well on Linux and other platforms. I've considered WhatsApp, but there isn't a Linux version, and I've heard mixed things about Telegram. What do you recommend for a messaging app that's reliable across different systems?

Definitely check out Signal! It's one of the most reliable messaging apps out there, especially if you're concerned about privacy. While Telegram is a decent option, Signal's commitment to user security is impressive. Seriously, take a minute to read their privacy policy; it’s worth it!

+1 for Signal! They genuinely prioritize user privacy more than most other apps.

Forget WhatsApp and Telegram, just stick with Signal! It’s donation-based and ad-free, which is a big plus for privacy-minded users.

You know, a lot of this also depends on what your friends are using. If everyone is on WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, moving to Signal might isolate you a bit. Are you prepared to convince your friends to switch too?
