Hi everyone! I'm reaching out for some help because my father, who is over 60, has had his Microsoft (Hotmail) email locked due to what they call "suspicious activity." This email account is crucial for him as all of his banking and important accounts are linked to it, making things really tough right now. Unfortunately, he can't access his recovery email, and it seems like he never set up two-step verification with his phone. We're stuck in a loop trying to verify his account through the recovery form, but after submitting it twice daily, we've hardly received any responses from Microsoft. If anyone has successfully recovered their account in a similar situation, I'd really appreciate your advice. Thanks a lot!

You might be in a tough spot, unfortunately. I suggest trying to reset the password again and going through all the verification steps they provide. Normally, they ask for stuff like past passwords and recent email contacts. Sometimes it works, but it's really hit or miss. Good luck!
I've been through something similar with my uncle. We tried everything to get his account back, but it was a real pain. I was the recovery email, and in the end, nothing worked for us. We submitted their form and got one response, but that was it. After months of frustration, we decided to just create a new email for him, and he had to go to the bank in person to update his info. It was the worst experience I've had with support.
