Why is my Intel i9 1400K performing below expectations?

I'm having some trouble with my Intel i9 1400K as it seems to be underperforming in benchmarks. I recently ran Cinebench and 3D Mark tests and got the following scores:

- Cinebench R23 (multicore): 21,465
- Time Spy Extreme: 8,016
- Time Spy: 17,817

I've tried tweaking some settings in the BIOS, including adjusting PL1, PL2, SVID Behavior, and enabling XMP II, but my scores haven't improved much. During the benchmarking, the CPU temps reached around 77-80 degrees Celsius.

My BIOS is updated, and the CPU doesn't seem to be throttling. So I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my chip. Here are my specs:
- CPU: Intel i9 1400K
- RAM: 32 GB DDR5 @ 7200
- Motherboard: Asus Z970-P
- Cooling: MSI MAG CORELIQUID E360

Cinebench also stated my CPU has "24 cores, 32 threads @ 3.19 GHz". Is that the correct clock speed? I expected it to be closer to 4-5 GHz. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The 3.2 GHz you're seeing is actually the base clock speed for the i9 1400K. It can turbo boost much higher under load, typically reaching between 4-5 GHz depending on your cooling and power settings.

Could that turbo boost be affected by the Adaptive Boot Technology setting in the BIOS?
