Hey there! I'm looking to upgrade my PC but I'm not sure where to start. Right now, I have an NVIDIA 3060 and a Ryzen 5600x. The only upgrade I've made since buying it in 2022 was increasing my RAM from 16 GB to 32 GB, but there was an issue where my motherboard couldn't handle both RAM sets at full capacity. So, I've had to tweak it and now they're not running at peak speed. Recently, I've been playing games like Borderlands 4, Modded Minecraft, and Modded Terraria. A friend mentioned he might sell me a 3080 for $280, but I'm also considering switching to an AM5 setup. However, that would mean changing the RAM, CPU, and motherboard, which feels like a lot to handle. Any advice on what I should do?

It really comes down to your budget and how serious you are about the upgrade. If upgrading to AM5 and a better GPU is feasible for you, that could be a great option. Consider how much time you spend gaming or working on your PC, and what games you play. If you often play CPU-intensive games like Modded Minecraft, you might benefit from a stronger setup.
What motherboard are you currently using? It could help determine what your upgrade options are.
I believe it's the MSI B550 Gaming Edge Wifi.

I use it for school work too, and I'm on my PC quite often. The CPU-heavy games tend to run a bit shaky if I don't adjust settings.
