Why is Microsoft Teams asking for network access for Edge WebView2 after deployment?

I've been working on fine-tuning our Windows 11 autopilot deployment and noticed something strange. Right after a successful deployment, when users first open Microsoft Teams, they get a prompt asking to allow Microsoft Edge WebView2 to access public and private networks. The prompt points to a specific path: C:program files (x86)microsoftedgewebviewapplications142.0.3595.94msedgewebview2.exe. I can definitely set up a firewall exception with Intune to deal with the prompt, but I'm worried since it references a specific build of WebView2, it might not be a permanent fix. I want the out-of-box experience for new computers to be as seamless as possible for our users. Is this a recent issue? I don't remember seeing this kind of prompt before, and it only seems to occur with new deployments.

We typically deploy Teams as part of our base build apps during the initial setup and haven't encountered that prompt at all. It's strange that you only see it after deployment. Have you checked if there were any updates or changes to the WebView2 component recently? It’s possible something changed on Microsoft’s end.

Exactly, I deploy it the same way. It just started popping up recently while I've been tweaking our autopilot settings. Definitely keeps things interesting!
