Is a 750W PSU Enough for the XFX Radeon RX 9070XT?

I'm planning to purchase an XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9070XT Triple Fan Gaming Edition graphics card, and I currently have an XPG Core Reactor II VE 750W power supply unit. I've seen conflicting information online; XFX recommends at least an 800W PSU, but AMD's site states that a 750W supply should suffice. Some people say 750W will be adequate, while others suggest needing 850W. Plus, I'm using a 1080p monitor and I don't plan to upgrade it. My CPU is a 7800X3D. What do you think?

Don't stress! Your entire setup likely won't pull more than 450 watts, even under full load. Just use your current PSU and enjoy your build!

I'm currently using a 750W PSU with my 9070XT and have had no issues. The GPU should typically max out around 300W, leaving you ample wattage for the rest of your components.

That PSU is a solid option; I wouldn't worry too much. Just double-check those PCIe connectors are all set!

It does, thanks!

The GPU's power consumption is around 304W, so you need to factor in the rest of your components to determine your actual requirements. XFX's recommendation generally covers most builds. Given your 7800X3D, I think a 750W PSU should be sufficient plenty.

As an electrical engineer, I have a similar setup and use a 650W PSU without problems. Even in intense scenarios, you probably won't exceed 500W. I did undervolt my system for extra safety, which is a good practice regardless of your PSU requirement.

Just make sure you have enough PCIe connectors for the GPU. If you do, then you should be good to go with the 750W! Congrats!
