Help Me Choose Between a CPU and GPU for My Next Desktop

I've been using a gaming laptop with an i7 7th gen processor and a 1070 graphics card, but it's starting to show its age. I'm looking to upgrade to a budget desktop system, and I've found a prebuilt option featuring a Ryzen 7 5700X CPU with an RTX 5060 8GB GPU. Unfortunately, building my own PC can be a bit too costly where I live, so I'm hoping to get some advice on how good this setup would be, as I'm not very familiar with desktops.

Knowing your budget is key! If you’re looking to spend around $800, that prebuilt setup should handle your games at 1080p pretty well. Just keep in mind that newer AAA titles may be demanding and might require you to lower some graphical settings for a smooth experience.

It really boils down to your budget. You generally want the best hardware you can afford, but that can get pricey fast. Just make sure you balance performance with what you can realistically pay for.

The prebuilt PC sounds decent for what you want to play! Since you’re focusing on 1080p gaming with titles like Arc Raiders, Apex Legends, and CS2, it should be capable of giving you decent FPS without major performance issues. You might want to consider that upgrading gradually is a smart move, especially with how prices fluctuate.

What are your gaming preferences? The RTX 5060 is not optimal for 4K gaming but should perform well enough for 1080p, which is great for casual gaming.
