Hey everyone! I'm making the jump from a gaming laptop to my very first gaming PC build, and I'm pretty lost. I don't really know much about PC components or building, so I'd love your advice! My budget isn't a concern at the moment. I'm really looking for feedback on compatibility, reliability, and whether my choices are overkill or underwhelming. I've put together a list of parts, but any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Here's my build: [PCPartPicker List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dC9XWc)

Hold on, did you say the budget isn’t a concern? If that’s the case, maybe we should rethink the entire build. Your choices like the case and cooler seem a bit mismatched for such a high-end setup. Why not consider a better monitor to match the budget? Your GPU will be hard to find at a good price too.

Good point! I hadn’t thought about the monitor. What would you recommend?

Yeah, your GPU choice may be overhyped right now. Let’s brainstorm some better options.

With your stated budget, I put together my thoughts on what you might want. This build will keep you future-proofed: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NXtHsp). Just make sure to adjust fan settings in the BIOS for better cooling! You might also want to think about adding some RGB for fun since you're new to building. The right aesthetic can make all the difference!

Haha, I totally appreciate you considering my lack of experience! Thanks for the info!

Be careful with the cooler choice; you might end up with excessive overkill for your CPU. Also, consider a different case for better airflow and cooling. Your GPU pricing seems off too, and there's a better option available if you're up for it.

Good advice! I’ll look for updates on the pricing.

I took a look at your list and made some upgrades. I swapped in a more powerful CPU and GPU while helping you save some cash. I suggest enhancing your monitor too; a high refresh rate OLED could greatly improve your experience. Here’s my revised build: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GnrPGJ). A reminder, you might want to double-check the RAM brand as I've heard some concerns about Silicon Power.

This looks solid! Just a thought, maybe look at a different RAM brand since you're unsure about Silicon Power.

Awesome, thanks for the detailed response! I really appreciate it!

What's your actual budget then? The details matter if you're going for a complete build. Knowing how you plan to use the PC will also help refine the recommendations!

If I had to set a budget, around $3500 seems most fitting for me.
