Hey everyone! I've got an ASUS PRIME Z490-P motherboard currently running an i7-10700KF CPU. I'm considering upgrading to an i9-11900K, but I've stumbled upon some mixed information. Some sources say I can do it without a BIOS upgrade, while others insist that a BIOS update is necessary. I'm not seeing clear guidance on the support page either. Any insights or advice would be appreciated!

Intel says you can upgrade to the i9-11900K with that motherboard, but I’d double-check the BIOS version to be sure. Some users have reported performance improvements while others feel it doesn’t justify the swap. Just a heads-up!

How significant are the performance gains, anyway?
