Hey everyone! I'm currently using Linux Mint but I'm eager to explore other distros to see which one I might like better. I'm curious if there are any important steps I should take before I just dive into installing a new distro. Is it enough to just create a USB stick with the new distro and follow a similar installation process as I did with Mint?

Definitely back up all your important files before switching distros! If you end up overwriting your current disk, you’ll lose anything stored on it. Seriously, just throw all your photos, documents, and anything else important onto an external drive or another USB stick first. You don’t want to risk losing your stuff!

I cannot stress this enough! Backup everything you care about!
