Why is my PC lagging in games even after upgrading parts?

I'm having serious issues with my PC lagging and stuttering in graphics-intensive games, particularly Infinity Nikki. Recently, I upgraded several components: the GPU, CPU, motherboard, and memory. Despite these upgrades, I'm still experiencing major performance issues like frame drops and freezing. I thought it might be the memory at first, so I tweaked the memory frequency in BIOS to 3200, which is the max without overclocking. Now, I'm starting to think I might need additional memory or maybe even a newer power supply since the current one has been in use since 2019. Here's a quick rundown of my build: CPU is an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G, the motherboard is Asus PRIME B550M-A, and the GPU is an MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti with 8 GB. Any insights on what I might be missing or if there's something else I should upgrade?

You mentioned the optimization guide for your setup. Make sure you're following the steps right! Double-check if your components are overheating and that they are set up properly. Sometimes, small tweaks can greatly improve performance. Try steps 5, 9, and 12 in the guide, as they might help with your current issues.

First off, do you have the game installed on an SSD or an HDD? If it's on the HDD, that might cause some lag. Also, ensure your monitor is plugged into the GPU, not the motherboard. This can make a big difference in performance!

Yeah, my game is on the HDD right now, could that really be it?
