Hey everyone! I'm using the Outlook client as part of my O365 subscription, and I manage multiple email accounts through it. However, I'm running into a snag with one of them, specifically my outlook.com address. Whenever I try to authenticate, I'm met with a Microsoft authentication popup that tells me there's no internet access. All my other email accounts function without issues, so it seems isolated to this one. I've narrowed it down to being something related to my firewall, since the authentication works perfectly fine when I disable the firewall entirely. I'm using Windows Firewall along with Malwarebytes' firewall control, and I've made sure to allow all relevant programs like Outlook and certain Microsoft services through the firewall settings. Even when I set the firewall rule to notify me when something is blocked, I'm not getting any alerts for this specific popup. I'm a bit stuck on what settings might be causing this. Any suggestions? By the way, after resetting the firewall and reinstalling the control, it seemed to work initially, but I'm not sure if it's a permanent solution yet.

You might want to ensure that outbound traffic is allowed for specific services like the Microsoft AAD Broker Plugin, WebView2 Runtime processes, and the Office authentication helpers. One of those could be getting blocked unintentionally.
Let me know how it goes! Sometimes it’s tricky to pinpoint exactly which service is causing the hiccup.
It’s worth mentioning that if resetting the firewall temporarily worked, it could imply some sort of configuration corruption. Keep an eye on the AAD plugin; it might need reinstalling if it goes offline again.
Yeah, I thought I'd fixed it, but it dropped out again after a restart, so I'll keep trying different settings.
Good luck! It can be a bit of a puzzle, but you’ll figure it out.

I'll check those out! I think WebView2 is causing some issues since it used to pop up a lot, but I haven’t seen it recently.
