I'm looking to upgrade my GPU before GTA 6 and other upcoming games hit the market. Currently, I have a Ryzen 7 5700X CPU and an RTX 2070 Super that's starting to show some visual glitches. I'm using a UWQHD (3440x1440) monitor. My budget is around 600€ and I'm considering either the RTX 5070 or the RX 9070 XT. I want to ensure I can play GTA 6 smoothly at high settings with potentially some ray tracing. Which GPU would you recommend for my setup and this resolution? I'm also open to other suggestions within my budget. Thanks for your help!

Just so you know, GTA 6 might not come out on PC until late 2027, so plan accordingly. The 9070 XT is more powerful than the 5070, so it’s a wise choice. If budget allows, upgrading your GPU now could save you from higher prices later, but consider a CPU upgrade too if you want to keep up with future titles.
I'd go with the RX 9070 XT; it's the stronger GPU compared to the 5070. Keep in mind, though, that GTA 6 won't be out for a while on PC. If you’re mainly upgrading for that game, you might want to wait until it's closer to release to make sure you get the best performance.
Thanks for the heads-up! I definitely want to get something newer, but I’ve also been playing other games that my 2070 Super is struggling with right now.
GTA 6 likely won’t be available on PC for at least a couple of years. What are you planning to play in the meantime? If you're looking for something now, it might help narrow down your options further.
That’s good to know, but with my GPU getting old, I’m also keen on games like the new Forza and Spiderman, which are coming soon!
If you're leaning towards the 9070 XT, I'd say go for it. If you can stretch your budget a bit, the 5070 Ti is a solid choice, especially with its upcoming driver updates that should boost performance. Just remember, whenever GTA 6 drops, it’s going to be pretty demanding on your CPU too!
Thanks! The 5070 Ti is a bit pricier here, and I’m just worried about whether it will be enough for future games.

Good point! I guess I need to think about a CPU upgrade as well. I’m just eager to play more than just GTA!
