I'm considering implementing Okta in our organization, but I'm hesitant due to the costs involved. For those who have experience with Okta, could you share what you found to be the benefits and drawbacks?

Okta is solid for integrating with different platforms, especially if you're looking for customer identity management. But without knowing your setup and the specific use cases, it's hard to make a strong recommendation. Just make sure you're clear on what you need before jumping in.

Right! Understanding your requirements is key. If you need extensive integration, Okta is a leader in that area.

I worked at a place that used Okta extensively. It worked really well because we had lots of users and various systems that it integrated with. But, if you're a smaller operation and only need basic functions, it might be more than necessary.

That's exactly my experience too. It's best for larger teams or those with complex setups.

In my opinion, unless you have unique needs, Entra offers a lot of what Okta does, often at a much lower cost. If budget is a big concern, it's definitely worth considering alternatives!

Agreed! Entra is worth a look—especially if you already have Azure AD.

If your organization isn't huge, Okta might be overkill. I've seen it work well, but if you're already using Microsoft products, Entra can cover most needs at a fraction of the cost. Okta does have better real-time logging and more advanced policies, but for many, Entra is just as good these days.

Totally agree! Okta is great, but if you're leaning towards Microsoft solutions, you might not need it. The instant log feature in Okta is a nice touch, though.

Exactly, unless you have specific needs for advanced features, Entra should suffice.
