I'm considering purchasing an RX 6700 GPU, specifically the 8GB version, but I'm concerned about my current power supply. I have a 500W unit and I don't plan on upgrading it. Will it be sufficient to run the RX 6700 without issues?

I'd suggest going for at least a 550W power supply with an 80+ Gold rating to make sure your setup stays stable. You'll be better protected against any power spikes that could happen during heavy usage.
But that means I'll have to reinstall everything and buy new cables!
