Should I Buy RAM Now or Wait for Prices to Drop?

Hey everyone! I just landed a new job and I'm in the process of assembling my PC bit by bit. So far, I've picked up a Radeon 9060xt 16GB because of rumored price hikes. I'm now considering buying 2x16GB RAM sticks, but I'm on the fence about whether to spend around $200 on them right now or wait it out a bit. Any advice on what might be the best move here? Thanks!

I think the market is really unpredictable right now, so if you can find RAM for around $200, just go for it. I heard from a hardware friend that we might not see better prices until 2027! Plus, waiting could mean missing out on performance gains with your new GPU.

If you need to complete your PC soon, then buying now makes sense. I picked up 2x16GB for $220 yesterday because I couldn't risk the prices going up further. Just do your research to find the best deal before purchasing!

I’m in the same boat, just trying to balance price with how soon I can finish my build!

Honestly, if you find a good deal, it might be worth grabbing it now. Prices have been rising and I'm hearing that they could continue to do so for at least another year. I bought a kit a couple of weeks ago for a future build, and it’s almost doubled in price since then! If you see something close to your budget, it's probably smart to snag it.

Yeah, I totally agree! It feels like waiting is just going to cost you time and money in the long run.

Buying components over time can be risky, especially if they malfunction after your return window closes. If it's within your budget and you really need the RAM now, then I say go for it. But if you can hold off, that might save you some headaches later! Good luck!

To be honest, prices are crazy right now! I remember getting my RAM for $115 just a few months ago, and now it's over $390! If you absolutely can't wait, go ahead and buy it, but just keep in mind that it could lead to more trouble down the line if you have issues with it later.
