I was using my PC normally, but after leaving it off for a couple of hours, it started running super slow with audio issues. My CPU usually stays under 50%, but now it spikes to 80% or more just from opening a single app, and everything is laggy. I haven't installed anything new, and I've checked for malware and viruses. The only time the CPU spikes is when I try to run a game or app. What could be causing this and how can I fix it? I'm on Windows 11 with an AMD Ryzen 9. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

It sounds like you might be dealing with a cooling issue. If your CPU cooler is malfunctioning, it could lead to overheating and performance drops. Make sure your cooler is properly connected and functioning. You can also try cleaning any dust buildup to improve airflow. Let me know if you need tips on checking the cooler!
Thanks for the tip! I’m looking into it now to see how I can check the cooler.
